My musical journey has taken me down a LOT of paths. Young, aspiring, struggling, dreamer wanting to make it in Nashville. Voice Coaching to develop a strong Nashville voice. Low paying gigs in various bars and clubs. Developing my own rhythm guitar style. Doing my own music and my own versions of my favorite songs. Not making enough money. Rejected demos on music row.
Deciding to pursue my military & government career, opting for income & stability over music. Sigh.
Spending years in a soul crushing corporate job. Retirement. A return to my true love, playing guitar and singing!
Learning to play fiddle, what an experience that has been! Finding a fantastic fiddle teacher who encourages me to continue no matter how hard it is. Demo recordings. Attempting to rebuild my vocals.
Accepting the reality that I'm getting older, my fingers don't work as well, and my voice won't sound like it used to. As it's been said, at least I have good health and vitality. Realizing that I still have stage presence, soulful expression, and truly love singing. And a strong desire to return to live performances.
Now I'm in pursuit of a bluegrass or bluegrass-oriented band needing a good, reliable vocalist. I can also teach vocals, beginner level guitar, and someday maybe even fiddle!
If you'd like to learn more, please listen to my demos and contact me via email.
